Trulioo has teamed up with payments and financial technology giant Fiserv in a move designed to remove a persistent barrier to cross-border growth: the need to rebuild identity and business checks every time a company enters a new market.
Under the collaboration, Trulioo will supply Fiserv with its person and business verification tools. Fiserv clients will be able to use these to simplify how they onboard and underwrite customers in different regions.
Confirming that an applicant is genuine and that a business is legitimate sits at the heart of onboarding and underwriting.
These checks often draw on several data sources, documents and review stages, and the burden grows as firms move into more countries. Trulioo aims to ease this by automating verification, cutting manual effort and enabling quicker and more uniform decisions.
On the individual side, Trulioo merges identity data, document checks and fraud indicators inside workflows that clients can configure.
Its business verification offering relies on trusted international and local data to validate company details, uncover ownership and control structures and produce standardised outputs that inform risk-based decisions. Combined, the two capabilities could give Fiserv a flexible base for running uniform verification across regions while still meeting local rules.
Trulioo operates a global risk intelligence platform that firms can tailor to regional requirements without losing a consistent approach to identity assurance. The company says this adaptability can smooth the onboarding journey and make expansion into new territories more efficient.
For enterprises with operations in multiple markets, Trulioo positions its scalable verification foundation as an easier route to onboarding customers and checking businesses, one that can flex across countries and operating models as needs change.
Trulioo CEO Vicky Bindra said, “Global growth should not require businesses to rebuild their verification processes market by market,” adding, “By bringing Trulioo’s global data coverage, risk signals and configurable workflows to Fiserv, we can help clients manage local requirements while maintaining a secure, frictionless and consistent approach to identity assurance.”
Fiserv global chief product officer, merchant solutions Sanjay Saraf said, “As businesses expand, they need onboarding and identity verification that can keep pace without adding unnecessary complexity. Our collaboration with Trulioo helps us give clients a more consistent approach across markets while adapting to local requirements.”
