Ajman Bank, the UAE-based lender, has overhauled the way it handles regulatory reporting by rolling out a RegTech platform built with consultancy 4most and specialist provider Reporting Center, a move designed to keep pace with shifting rules from the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
The new system pulls the bank’s reporting work into one centralised setting that can be audited and tailored. Data gathering, regulatory calculations, validation checks, adjustments and the production of final reports now sit on a single platform, rather than being spread across separate processes.
Structured, automated workflows have replaced the bank’s previous reporting activities. As a result, Ajman Bank can now follow each stage of the process, starting with source data and moving through calculations and checks before a report is submitted to the regulator.
Traceability is central to the project. The platform records the movement of data, the calculations applied, any adjustments made and the actions taken by individual users, creating an audit trail that supports tighter governance.
Flexibility is the other major feature. Ajman Bank can change its reporting logic, data mappings, formulas, validation rules and workflows as CBUAE requirements develop, giving it an infrastructure built to handle future regulatory updates as well as current obligations.
The bank describes the rollout as a significant milestone in its wider push to reinforce its regulatory reporting framework using automation and technology.
Ajman Bank CEO Mustafa Al Khalfawi said, “Regulatory compliance is increasingly about our ability to respond quickly to change while maintaining robust governance and control. By combining Ajman Bank’s institutional strengths with 4most’s market and regulatory reporting expertise and Reporting Center’s RegTech capabilities, we’re building a stronger foundation for technology-enabled compliance.”
4most UAE director Nicoleta Remmlinger said, “RegTech delivers the greatest value when technology and regulatory expertise work together. Our partnership with Reporting Center brings together deep local market and regulatory reporting knowledge with specialist regulatory technology. Ajman Bank’s commitment to innovation has enabled us to turn that combination into a practical solution for emerging regulatory requirements.”
Reporting Center founder and CEO Elena Unciuleanu said, “The collaboration demonstrates a model for the next generation of RegTech: combining specialist regulatory reporting expertise with purpose-built regulatory technology to help banks move from regulatory interpretation to implementation faster and with greater confidence.”
