AiPrise slashes business onboarding to two fields

AiPrise

AiPrise has launched Business Pre-fill, a new product designed to reduce business onboarding to a two-field process by automatically retrieving verified company data from official registries.

Applicants need only supply their business name and country. AiPrise’s matching engine then searches the relevant official registry and populates the remaining fields, including legal name, entity type, registration number, registered address and incorporation date.

Business Pre-fill is available immediately across more than 65 countries, among them the US, the EU, the UK, Singapore and Australia, accessible through a single integration.

According to AiPrise, lengthy onboarding forms are a common point at which qualified business applicants abandon signup flows, deterred by requests for registration numbers, tax identifiers and registered addresses.

Those who do complete the form often submit small inaccuracies, such as entering a trading name instead of a legal name or citing an outdated address, which later cause failed verifications, requests for further information and manual corrections by analysts, extending approval times for applicants who were otherwise ready to convert.

AiPrise said these challenges intensify for cross-border applicants, as identifier requirements differ by jurisdiction. A US founder, for example, may not have their EIN to hand, while a director in Germany must know whether to provide an HRB number or a tax number. A form built around one country’s requirements can therefore break down when applied elsewhere.

In practice, Business Pre-fill takes the business name and country supplied by the applicant, after which AiPrise’s matching engine identifies the correct entity from the official company registry, distinguishing it from similarly named businesses or trading names. Relevant fields, including tax identifiers and, where available, details of directors and ownership, are then filled in from the registry record for the applicant to confirm rather than type out manually. Where no confident match can be found, the process falls back to manual entry.

The product is built on the infrastructure behind AiPrise’s wider global KYB platform, which the company says provides direct access to official company registries and more than 100 data sources, covering upwards of 500m verifiable businesses worldwide. T

his allows the same integration to pre-fill a Delaware LLC using state filings, a German GmbH via the Handelsregister, a Singapore Pte Ltd through ACRA, and an Australian Pty Ltd from ASIC data, with further countries being added on an ongoing basis.

AiPrise said embedding pre-fill within its existing verification platform, rather than layering a separate data vendor on top, means the collected information feeds directly into KYB verification, ultimate beneficial ownership mapping, sanctions and anti-money laundering screening, and document checks.

Because registry-sourced data arrives pre-validated, the company said this should lead to fewer mismatches, fewer failed checks, fewer requests for information, and a single audit trail from first entry to final decision. It added that discrepancies between an applicant’s stated business and its registry record, such as a company registered as a money services business describing itself as a consultancy, can also be identified earlier in the funnel.

AiPrise said Business Pre-fill is intended for organisations that onboard businesses across multiple jurisdictions, including FinTechs and neobanks opening business accounts, payment platforms onboarding merchants, marketplaces verifying sellers, lenders pre-filling underwriting applications, and payroll and HR platforms verifying employers.

Business Pre-fill is live now through the AiPrise API and its hosted verification flows. The company said existing customers can enable the feature with minimal integration work, using the same business data structures they already have in place.
