Zeidler Group, the technology-driven law firm and regulatory compliance services provider, has introduced a new AI Questionnaire Review feature within its Zeidler Due Diligence (ZDD) platform.
The tool has been built to speed up and standardise the way due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) are assessed. With a single click, it works through an entire questionnaire, flagging responses that are missing, incomplete, or that raise potential compliance, regulatory or operational concerns.
Unlike a simple completeness check, the system evaluates whether each answer genuinely addresses the question asked, whether it is clearly written and internally consistent, and whether it points to something that warrants closer scrutiny. Every response is then given one of three ratings, Satisfactory, Flagged for Review or Unanswered, accompanied by a plain-English note explaining the reasoning behind the assessment.
The feature also looks past surface-level completeness. An answer that reads as satisfactory on first glance may still point to a compliance shortfall, regulatory exposure or operational weakness, and the tool is built to surface and explain such cases. All flagged or unanswered items are grouped into a single panel, letting reviewers jump straight to the responses that need attention rather than working through the questionnaire sequentially.
The AI Questionnaire Review sits inside the existing ZDD environment alongside its questionnaire management, counterparty response rating and validation tools, meaning there is no separate platform to log into and nothing to export elsewhere. Reviewers are able to run the check again at any point new answers or supporting documents are added.
