AT&T Ventures backs Reco in $55m agentic security raise

Reco, a company specialising in agentic security, has secured a further $55m in funding, featuring a strategic cheque from AT&T Ventures, lifting the total capital it has raised to $140m.

Alongside AT&T Ventures, the round drew backing from two newcomers to the company’s investor base, Forestay and Quadrille Capital. The business plans to channel the money into growing its sales operation, partnerships, channel network and customer support.

The investment arrives as Fortune 500 businesses show rising appetite for tools that can keep pace with AI agents spreading throughout their operations, spanning applications, collaboration software, browsers, copilots and automated processes.

In sectors of every kind, agents are obtaining entry to sensitive information and core business systems via routes such as OAuth grants, API links, service accounts, browser sessions, MCP tools and AI functionality built into software staff already rely on. While an individual agent might look harmless on its own, the web of permissions it holds can produce a wide blast radius affecting customer records, source code, financial processes, tickets, documents and communication channels. Reco charts these connections across the organisation so security teams can spot needless exposure and precisely scale back or remove hazardous access.

At the heart of the offering sits the Reco Graph, which plots the links between agents, identities, applications, permissions, data and workflows. Using this identity and posture context, security teams can uncover agents and AI-powered tools, rank threats according to their business consequences and fix problems with accuracy. Rather than leaving organisations to pick between halting AI uptake and tolerating unmanaged risk, the platform lets them trim excessive permissions, withdraw stale access, switch off risky integrations and apply policy without interfering with legitimate work.

The Reco Platform protects agents and the environments they operate within, where applications, identities, permissions and workflows meet. It maps a firm’s full third-party ecosystem, focuses attention on genuine risk instead of sheer alert numbers, and carries out remediation across every human identity, agent, app and permission.

Reco CEO and co-founder Ofer Klein said, “Agents are gaining access to business applications and data faster than many organizations can map or govern those connections. AT&T’s participation as both a customer and strategic investor reflects the need for security that follows agents across enterprise ecosystems. This funding will help Reco expand sales, partnerships and customer support as more large enterprises move agents into production.”

AT&T Ventures head Vikram Taneja said, “As both an investor and customer, AT&T recognizes the growing importance of helping organizations understand and manage how AI agents interact with business applications and data. Reco’s approach to visibility and governance aligns with the needs we are seeing across enterprises as agent adoption continues to evolve.”
