Behavox has agreed an $8m commitment with Civo, the UK sovereign cloud and AI provider, locking in dedicated British GPU capacity so that highly sensitive client information never has to leave the country for processing.
The deal gives Behavox reserved graphics processing power on UK soil to run the AI models that underpin its products. That matters because its client base, which spans global banks, hedge funds, asset managers, commodity traders and insurers, hands over some of the most confidential material in finance, including staff communications and trading records. With the new capacity, that information can now be handled entirely within the UK.
The timing follows a busy period for both firms. On 22 September 2026, Civo unveiled its flagship edge data centre in Hertfordshire, the first of 40 sites it plans to open across the UK, and confirmed it intends to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform in 2027. Behavox, for its part, secured a $175m preferred equity investment in June 2026 from HPS Investment Partners, which is part of BlackRock.
The arrangement with Civo is only one piece of a broader expansion. Behavox is lining up AI compute with several other neoclouds as regulated industries show very strong appetite for low-cost tokens and for agentic AI designed specifically for regulated businesses.
Behavox sells this capacity through its affiliated company Gigatokens, which provides frontier models hosted on UK sovereign infrastructure and retains no data by default.
Behavox builds compliance and controls software for financial institutions, using AI to help firms monitor and manage the sensitive data generated across their operations.
Behavox co-founder and chief operating officer Kiryl Trembovolski said, “The world’s largest regulated institutions rely on Behavox for compliance software and trust us with their most sensitive data. UK data protection law is the gold standard, and clients around the world trust it. Civo lets us process that data in the UK on British infrastructure, and we are delighted to partner with a great example of the best of British.”
Civo CEO Mark Boost added, “It’s great to see British innovators like Behavox stepping up and driving the sovereign cloud agenda forward. Behavox is a prime example of top-tier British AI talent, trusted by the world’s most heavily regulated financial institutions, and by bringing their AI processing onto infrastructure built and operated right here in the UK, together we are proving the UK can offer a true, high-performance alternative to the dominance of overseas tech giants.”
