Behavox bets big on Milan for Europe growth

Behavox, the AI-native controls platform for global banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and commodity firms, has opened a new office in Milan, marking a deeper on-the-ground commitment to continental Europe.

The Italian base gives Behavox a local presence to serve its rapidly growing continental client roster, and the company expects Milan to become its regional headquarters as well as one of its largest offices worldwide. The move follows a $175m preferred equity investment the company secured from HPS Investment Partners, part of BlackRock, in June 2026, aimed at accelerating its global expansion.

Behavox points to regulatory complexity as a key driver of demand across the continent, with frameworks such as MiFID II, the Market Abuse Regulation, and the EU’s new AI Act pushing banks, asset managers, and trading firms to consolidate surveillance, communications monitoring, and compliance functions onto a single, auditable, AI-native system.

The company’s Polaris trade surveillance product has benefited in particular, having recently been extended to prediction markets and now spanning 10 asset classes, as clients look for the same regulator-ready standards in trade surveillance that they already apply to communications monitoring.

The company also reported that its global customer base grew by 86% during 2025, taking it past 100 major financial institutions across five continents, and said it has remained profitable since 2023. Continental Europe has been among its fastest-expanding markets over that period.

Behavox builds AI-native controls technology used by global banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and commodity firms to monitor communications, oversee trading activity, and manage regulatory compliance from a single platform.

From Milan, Behavox’s strategic account managers, delivery teams, and account executives will support institutions across Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, and other major European markets, giving clients in-country delivery and teams able to work on-site, in local time zones, and in local languages.

Behavox co-founder and chief operating officer Kiryl Trembovolski said, “Milan is poised to become Behavox’s regional headquarters, representing our strategic investment in Europe and our commitment to delivering best-in-class, in-person support to European financial institutions. We are opening new roles in Milan every day and rapidly expanding our presence across all key European markets.”

Behavox chief revenue officer Nabeel Ebrahim said, “Milan is about being in the room with our clients when it matters — on their schedule, in their language. Our strategic account managers, delivery teams, and account executives will support institutions across Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, and other major European markets.”
