Continuous, formerly known as SMA Technologies, has acquired Sycorr, a provider of identity and access management software designed for banks and credit unions.
The move aims to bolster Continuous’ platform with advanced security capabilities, helping financial institutions accelerate user access management, reduce operational risk, and simplify compliance efforts.
The acquisition centres on Sycorr’s flagship product, Permission Assist, which strengthens security controls and meets regulatory requirements across financial institutions.
Continuous CEO Todd Dauchy said, “Integrating Permission Assist addresses one of the most requested use cases from our clients and solves a major challenge in the financial services market by making access and compliance easier to manage at scale. It gives banks and credit unions a more powerful way to reduce risk, stay audit-ready, and operate more efficiently.”
Sycorr’s Permission Assist solution improves efficiency by automating access changes, speeding up onboarding and offboarding, reducing administrative workloads, and freeing IT and security teams to focus on strategic tasks. It also integrates seamlessly across hybrid and remote environments, offering full visibility and centralised identity management to prevent gaps in security controls. Importantly, it enables financial institutions to enforce least-privilege access consistently and revoke access for terminated users quickly, reducing the risk of failed audits.
Continuous, an intelligent automation platform built specifically for banks and credit unions, supports more than 1,600 institutions. Its platform streamlines processes across lending, compliance, IT operations, and information security, allowing financial institutions to scale efficiently without adding headcount.
