FinregE, a London-based RegTech firm operating as an end-to-end regulatory operating system, has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the internationally recognised benchmark for information security management.
The accreditation represents an upgrade from FinregE’s previous ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification and confirms that the company has established a formal framework to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of client data. The updated standard comes as financial institutions face mounting pressure from both escalating cyber threats and tightening regulatory expectations.
The certification was awarded following a thorough audit of FinregE’s security controls, internal procedures and risk management practices. By meeting the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard, FinregE aims to give its clients confidence that their data is handled in accordance with globally recognised best practice security architecture.
FinregE’s client base spans Tier 1 banks, insurance companies, asset managers, payment firms, highly regulated corporates and financial regulators. The company was previously selected by the Financial Conduct Authority to redesign, host and manage its Handbook website.
FinregE chief technology officer Amit Madahar said, “Our clients trust us with their most critical information and we take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness. Achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification is not just a badge of compliance, it is a demonstration of our unwavering commitment to our clients. It proves that we have the systems and discipline in place to ensure their data is protected by global best practices.”
FinregE chief operating officer Neil Wands said, “As FinregE continues to scale its operations and expand its service offerings, this certification will serve as the foundation for continued growth, ensuring that security evolves in lockstep with innovation.”
