MyPass raises A$7.5m to expand digital credentials platform across North and South America

MyPass Global, a technology company specialising in workforce onboarding, compliance, and credential management, has secured A$7.5m ($4.7m) in Series A funding.

The round was led by Australian venture capital firm OneVentures.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate MyPass’ expansion into North and South America while also driving product development.

Founded in Australia in 2013, MyPass has developed a digital Skills Passport designed to empower workers by allowing them to manage their training and competency records. The platform offers a centralised, portable, and digital solution for verifying qualifications.

More than 1,300 companies globally use MyPass to manage over 110,000 contractors. In 2024 alone, the platform onboarded 350 new organisations and validated more than 246,000 documents.

Commenting on the investment, MyPass founder and CEO Matt Smith said, “We are excited to be partnering with OneVentures, whose investment and expertise represents a strong endorsement of our product and growth strategy.

“MyPass offers a unique solution to the growing challenges around workforce competency assurance. The portable, worker-friendly and digital Skills Passport gives workers the ability to control their own qualifications and credentials without compromising data privacy and security. Ours is the only platform that can connect workers, site owners, suppliers, training institutions and industry bodies with a single source of truth.

“OneVentures’ investment combined with their strategic, hands-on support will be pivotal as we scale the platform into the Americas. We look forward to collaborating with OneVentures’ team in executing on our strategy and realising our vision to simplify workforce competency in key industries.”

Deloitte research has highlighted that 66% of organisations are not adequately prepared to manage their workforce in Australia and globally. Factors such as tightening regulations, increased reliance on contract labour, and growing risks related to fraud, data security, and compliance failures underscore the need for more robust workforce management solutions.

OneVentures partner Bevin Shields said, “We have been greatly impressed by the MyPass platform and the confidence that some of the world’s largest companies, many of them operating in extremely complex environments, have placed in the technology. MyPass has not only achieved financial scale through a large and rapidly growing customer base but is also demonstrating a strong growth rate while scaling in a capital-efficient manner. We are excited to be partnering with Matt and the MyPass team to support and accelerate their
continued success.”

Headquartered in Australia, MyPass operates across Chile, Canada, and the United States, with additional support teams in the Philippines, India, and Colombia.
