PwC and Google Cloud expand alliance to boost AI security

PwC

PwC US, a global professional services firm specialising in audit, advisory, and risk transformation, and Google Cloud have expanded their alliance with a major new joint investment.

The organisations are strengthening their collaboration to help global firms modernise security operations, tackle fragmented cyber environments, and build resilience amid increasingly sophisticated threats. Their joint aim is to accelerate AI-powered, intelligence-led defence capabilities for clients worldwide.

PwC US operates across advisory, audit, and tax, with a significant focus on security transformation, regulatory alignment, risk consulting, and managed services. The firm supports large organisations in designing and operationalising complex security programmes, including cloud-native security capabilities and enterprise-wide cybersecurity enhancements.

Google Cloud provides a comprehensive suite of cloud computing, data analytics, AI/ML, and security technologies. Its security stack includes Google Security Operations, threat intelligence, and cloud-native protection tools that enable unified visibility across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

The three-year, $400m collaboration includes PwC investing internally in Google Security technologies while jointly supporting enterprise customers. The enhanced alliance builds on existing work between the firms to help organisations adopt AI-driven detection and response, automate investigations, and shift from reactive security to proactive, intelligence-led operations.

PwC and Google Cloud will continue delivering an end-to-end security portfolio spanning security operations transformation, cloud-native application protection, compliance automation, and managed security services. PwC is also extending its semi-autonomous SOC capabilities by integrating AI-powered workflows within Google Security Operations.

PwC differentiates its approach by linking security capabilities with broader enterprise priorities, such as regulatory expectations and board-level oversight. Its methodology emphasises embedding intelligence, automation, and operational efficiency across complex environments to improve detection, response and long-term organisational resilience.

PwC cyber, data & technology risk deputy leader Morgan Adamski said, “Security professionals are under pressure to move faster and operate smarter in the face of constant change. PwC is working with Google Cloud to help organizations operationalize AI and intelligence in ways that meaningfully improve how security teams work, day in and day out.”

Google Cloud vice president, global security sales Denise Walter said, “PwC supports Google Cloud by bringing the deep transformation expertise that organizations need to translate agentic AI into real operational impact. With PwC, we are helping clients modernize security operations on a global scale, driving consistent resilience, efficacy, and effectiveness across their complex environments.”

Adamski added, “When intelligence and automation are built directly into security operations, organizations are better positioned to prioritize what matters most, respond with confidence and build resilience.”
