Regnology to buy Fed Reporter in US regulatory reporting push

Regnology

Regnology has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Fed Reporter, a leading American supplier of regulatory reporting tools serving banks, credit unions, and bank holding companies of every size.

The deal represents a decisive moment in Regnology’s push into the American market, giving the combined business the broadest regulatory reporting footprint in the country and access to over 4,000 institutions, spanning the largest global banks through to community lenders.

Bringing together Regnology’s cloud-first, agentic-first technology base with Fed Reporter’s entrenched domestic expertise, the group aims to deliver reporting that is more efficient, transparent, and data-driven, while tightening the connection between financial institutions and their supervisors.

The transaction caps a series of strategic US acquisitions by Regnology, which previously built out capabilities in broker-dealer reporting alongside enterprise-grade platforms for global institutions.

Fed Reporter contributes what the company describes as deeply embedded “last-mile” reporting functionality, deepening Regnology’s American offering and improving its capacity to link upstream data, reporting workflows, and final submission, in step with the changing requirements of both regulated firms and supervisory bodies.

Regnology provides technology sitting at the intersection of regulatory, risk, and supervisory functions, while Fed Reporter specialises in regulatory reporting solutions for US financial institutions of all sizes.

Completion of the deal remains conditional on customary regulatory approvals, with closing anticipated in the coming months.

Regnology CEO Rob Mackay said, “This is the next step in our U.S. strategy. We’ve built strong capabilities and relationships across the market: Fed Reporter extends that reach into the US financial landscape, completing our coverage from Wall Street to Main Street.

Our goal is to be a long-term partner in regulatory modernization. By combining trusted, mission-critical solutions with continued innovation, including more intelligent and automated reporting, we help institutions and regulators manage complexity, improve data quality, and move forward with confidence.”

Regnology head of Americas Alexander Grimm said, “We are excited to welcome the highly respected Fed Reporter team into our organization. Their expertise and client relationships are unmatched, and together we combine deep local knowledge with global technology to better serve the entire U.S. market.”

Fed Reporter CEO Bruce Gall said, “This is a strong step forward for our clients and team. We will continue to deliver the simplicity and expert support our clients trust, now backed by the scale and long-term vision of Regnology.”
