Scytale acquires AudITech to enhance SOX compliance suite

Scytale

Scytale has announced the acquisition of AudITech, a specialist in SOX ITGC automation, as part of its expansion to offer a fully integrated enterprise compliance suite.

The deal is designed to bolster Scytale’s platform by adding SOX ITGC automation capabilities to its existing coverage of standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. With this acquisition, Scytale aims to provide a single platform for comprehensive compliance needs, enhancing its support for businesses ranging from early-stage ventures to publicly listed firms. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Scytale helps companies streamline their compliance processes by automating security, privacy, and AI compliance requirements. Its solutions are designed to reduce cost, time, and complexity across frameworks. AudITech, meanwhile, is known for its cutting-edge SOX ITGC platform, which automatically audits IT General Controls, monitors for deficiencies in real-time, and generates audit-ready reports and documentation. Its client base includes high-profile companies such as Monday.com, Fiverr, ICL Group, and Pagaya.

Following the acquisition, AudITech’s co-founders Eli Edry and Roni Beeri will join the Scytale team. AudITech’s core technologies will be integrated into Scytale’s Enterprise suite, enhancing the platform’s ability to serve organisations throughout their compliance lifecycle.

The move comes at a time when many cybersecurity professionals are struggling with the complexity and resource demands of meeting regulatory requirements. A recent survey of 200 IT security professionals found that 44% cited complexity and time consumption as the main challenges in achieving compliance.

Scytale will now offer an even more intelligent and efficient path to SOX compliance, using automation to reduce manual tasks and ensure consistent oversight of ITGC processes. The combined offering is positioned to support organisations through every stage of growth with tailored, scalable compliance solutions.

Scytale CEO Meiran Galis said, “Scytale’s mission has always been to simplify and streamline security and privacy compliance for companies at every stage of their growth. The AudITech team has done an amazing job building an exceptional product and customer base. By bringing AudITech into the Scytale family, we are doubling down on that promise. Together, we’re delivering unparalleled technology capabilities that enable enterprises to smartly manage SOX audits and fully automate ITGC controls with confidence and efficiency. From early-stage startups to publicly traded companies, Scytale is the only complete compliance hub.”

AudITech CEO Eli Edry added, “We all rely on information technology daily, making IT internal controls a vital part of running a business with all stakeholders aligned and in trust. This collaboration goes beyond merely integrating complementary products that support companies from their early stages to post-IPO. It represents a partnership between two companies with shared missions, dedicated to making IT compliance easier, intuitive, and a key part of enterprise success. We are excited to join Scytale.”

Elsewhere, Tyfone has joined forces with Advanced Fraud Solutions, a leading provider of fraud prevention tools, to combat rising fraud risks in commercial banking.

The partnership introduces an integrated solution that enhances transaction security and strengthens fraud defences for banks and credit unions.

The collaboration addresses a critical gap in fraud prevention, particularly the underuse of Positive Pay solutions. While check fraud continues to surge, 65% of banks report that less than half of their treasury clients are actively using such tools. By combining Tyfone’s digital banking technology with AFS’s Positive Pay capabilities, the two companies aim to provide a more proactive and user-friendly solution.
