Securonix buys ThreatQuotient to expand threat intelligence

ThreatQuotient

Securonix has acquired ThreatQuotient, a four-time leader in threat intelligence recognised by the QKS Group Spark Matrix report, and the company behind the ThreatQ external threat intelligence platform.

The acquisition aims to create a comprehensive, fully integrated AI-driven platform for threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR). By combining their technologies, Securonix and ThreatQuotient intend to modernise security operations through real-time analytics and agentic AI. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Securonix offers an AI-powered security platform incorporating SIEM, security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), user and entity behaviour analytics (UEBA), and its Data Pipeline Manager. Its EON Agentic AI platform is designed to deliver real-time, behaviour-driven security operations that proactively detect and address threats.

ThreatQuotient’s core strength lies in its ThreatQ platform, which delivers curated and contextualised external threat intelligence. This intelligence enables faster decision-making and smarter threat investigations, complementing Securonix’s capabilities by enriching internal analytics with external data.

The integration of these two companies promises significant operational improvements for customers. The combined platform is expected to reduce mean time to respond (MTTR) by up to 70%, while reducing false positives by up to 90%. By merging curated threat intelligence with AI-driven automation, security teams will be able to eliminate blind spots, automate incident response, and reduce investigation times from hours to minutes.

Securonix said customers would benefit from unified visibility, more accurate triage, and faster responses. The combined platform will allow security teams to act on high-priority threats with greater confidence while reducing manual investigations and alert fatigue. Both platforms can still be deployed independently, either on-premise or via SaaS, to suit existing customer infrastructure.

ThreatQuotient’s existing customers will gain access to Securonix’s global research and development scale, go-to-market reach, and the expertise of Securonix Threat Labs Intelligence. Additionally, they will see deeper integrations between ThreatQ and Securonix’s SIEM, SOAR and UEBA solutions, while their current services will continue uninterrupted.

Securonix CEO and president Kash Shaikh said, “Security teams are drowning in noise and struggling to keep up with evolving threats. This acquisition brings together Securonix’s Agentic AI-driven Platform with ThreatQuotient’s deep threat intelligence to deliver clarity, speed, and automated workflows to our customers, reducing false positives by up to 90%. Together, we’re building the modern SOC Platform—proactive, intelligent, and built for what’s next.”

Shaikh added, “Securonix and ThreatQuotient bring together complementary strengths—deep innovation across internal and external threat domains, and a shared commitment to innovation and customer service. Both companies serve enterprise and government customers as well as managed security service providers (MSSPs), and we’re excited to welcome the talented ThreatQuotient team and their customers to Securonix.”

ThreatQuotient CEO John Czupak said, “Enterprises, government institutions and managed security service providers rely on ThreatQuotient to protect their mission critical businesses. Joining Securonix marks a powerful new chapter for ThreatQuotient. By uniting our strengths, we can accelerate innovation, expand our reach, and deliver greater value to our customers. I’m proud of what we’ve built and excited for what’s ahead.”
