Trustfull has launched Investigator, a conversational AI tool built to help fraud teams identify risk signals and examine suspicious activity more quickly.
The product allows analysts to assess a range of digital identifiers — including email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, web domains and onboarding attempts — using plain language queries rather than manual processes across disparate systems. Investigator automatically selects the appropriate intelligence sources, runs the relevant checks and delivers structured, explainable fraud signals within seconds.
The launch arrives against a backdrop of mounting pressure on fraud teams as criminal networks become more sophisticated. Interpol has warned that organised fraud groups are deploying AI to scale operations globally, increasing both the speed and efficiency of their attacks at a rate not previously seen.
Unlike conventional fraud tools that typically require analysts to know precisely which checks to run and manually correlate data across multiple sources, Investigator is designed to handle that orchestration through a single conversational interface. Analysts can, for instance, ask the platform to evaluate whether a phone number carries signs of being disposable or linked to suspicious accounts, assess an email address for data breach exposure, deliverability and domain reputation, or run IP checks for VPN and proxy use. Website analysis covering ownership, hosting and digital advertising activity is also supported.
Queries can be as simple as “Check whether this phone number looks suspicious”, “Assess this onboarding attempt” or “Analyze this email and linked digital signals”, with the platform automatically correlating the relevant signals and returning findings in a structured, readable format.
