Droit unveils Explore Mode for Adept compliance

Droit, a technology firm at the forefront of computational law and regulation, has expanded its capabilities with the launch of ‘Explore Mode’ for its Adept platform, using newly patented technology.

The company introduced the new feature to help financial institutions explore “what if” scenarios and fully understand the regulatory impacts of transactions before they happen, supporting better-informed decision-making.

Droit provides financial institutions with technology to drive intelligent decision-making across pre-trade and post-trade controls, helping clients assess transaction permissibility and manage regulatory reporting with complete traceability.

The new Explore Mode on Adept allows institutions to interact with rules flexibly, moving beyond the previous requirement of providing complete transaction details before receiving regulatory requirements or trade guidance. Clients can now input partial data or desired outcomes to identify compliant transaction scenarios under applicable regulations.

Explore Mode enables institutions to test different transaction scenarios, discover potential business opportunities, and understand permissible activities within regulatory frameworks, supporting the discovery of new revenue streams while maintaining compliance.

In addition to its pre-trade capabilities, the new feature enhances post-trade functionality by allowing firms to upload millions of transactions for bulk evaluation. This enables them to identify common compliance issues efficiently and prioritise remediation while maintaining transparency.

Droit CEO Brock Arnason said, “Explore Mode allows our clients to go beyond the input constraints of a single defined transaction, and to interrogate the full scope of permissible activities. This comprehensive insight can help unlock new potential revenue streams and expose new business opportunities.”

Droit head of Adept knowledge engineering Leith Dennis said, “This patent approval is a testament to the unique technology we’ve developed, enabling our clients to interact with our rules using the Adept Platform in new and expanded ways. Now, we have broadened Adept’s capabilities without losing any of the transparency our clients have come to expect. Using Explore Mode, firms can solve regulatory questions at scale, quickly identify issues, or preview the impact of upcoming regulatory change.”
