Zeidler adds Hong Kong to global MMR-Tool compliance suite

Zeidler Group has expanded its Marketing Material Review Tool (MMR-Tool) to include Hong Kong’s regulatory framework, enabling asset managers to meet the region’s fund marketing requirements with ease.

The update enhances the tool’s global reach, helping firms manage cross-border compliance in one centralised platform.

The Hong Kong integration brings in regulations such as the Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds, Advertising Guidelines for Collective Investment Schemes, and related FAQs on advertising materials. With these rules now built into the MMR-Tool, asset managers can review fund marketing content quickly and stay aligned with complex, evolving compliance standards.

Zeidler Group head of US Scott Parkin said, “The addition of Hong Kong marks another important milestone in our commitment to deliver global, tech-enabled compliance solutions for global fund distribution.

“With Hong Kong being a leading fund distribution hub in Asia, especially for European funds, our clients can now streamline their compliance processes across yet another key market.”

Zeidler Group EVP of product & services Serena Goldberg said, “In addition to Hong Kong rules, our recent expansion of language coverage that includes simplified and traditional Chinese means the MMR-Tool is now even more equipped to support both on-the-ground and strategic global fund distribution for international teams.”

Built on advanced large language model technology and supported by Zeidler’s investment funds legal experts, the MMR-Tool automates and accelerates compliance checks across multiple jurisdictions. It reduces manual workloads, speeds up review processes, and strengthens risk oversight for firms marketing funds internationally.

The platform already supports the US, EU/EEA, UK, Singapore, Switzerland, and the UAE, with plans for further markets in the pipeline. Over 160 global asset managers currently rely on the MMR-Tool, underlining its importance as a leading RegTech solution for fund marketing compliance.
