Theta Lake launches 150 new features for compliance suite

Theta Lake

Theta Lake, a multi-award-winning leader in digital communications governance and archiving, has launched a wave of new capabilities across its Risk and Compliance Suite, adding more than 150 industry-first features.

The company, which has been recognised by Gartner for its critical capabilities and named UC Today’s Compliance Product of the Year, has positioned itself at the forefront of AI-driven compliance solutions for digital communication.

The latest updates build on the firm’s recently introduced AI Governance and Inspection Suite, developed to ensure AI-powered communication tools such as Zoom AI Companion and Microsoft Copilot are deployed safely, correctly, and in line with regulatory requirements. The new release responds to the growing demand from financial institutions to manage AI communications while meeting compliance and security obligations.

Founded with the aim of providing a unified platform for digital communications governance, Theta Lake seeks to eliminate the fragmented nature of siloed archiving systems and compliance voice recording. Its approach extends across capture, archiving, investigations, supervision, and surveillance, while also offering user governance, data protection, and enforcement controls. This holistic model aims to remove the barriers of hard-to-adopt and closed systems, helping firms unlock the value of their communication data.

The enhanced Compliance and Risk Suite now delivers three integrated modules: Unified Capture, Unified Search & Archiving, and Proactive Compliance. Unified Capture allows clients to collect and reconcile communications from any collaboration or AI tool, conduct real-time risk analysis at the point of capture, and direct the data to existing archives or storage tools. More than 80 new features have been added to this module, including integrations with WeChat, WhatsApp, LINE, Signal, Zoom Clips, RingCentral Webinars, Instagram for Business, YouTube, Jira, and others.

Unified Search & Archiving brings expanded case management, investigations, and eDiscovery tools. More than 30 new capabilities include enhanced data export for Relativity, identity-based legal holds across multiple platforms, improved bulk record APIs, and additional storage options. This delivers a more flexible and cost-efficient model for organisations looking to scale compliance operations.

Meanwhile, Proactive Compliance introduces more than 50 features designed to sharpen risk detection and provide corrective controls at the communication layer. Updates include new classifiers to detect sensitive document sharing, market manipulation, and broader regulatory risks. Native language detection has also been extended to Polish, Turkish, and Cantonese. A new AI Compliance Advisor offers automation support for review teams, while added explainability functions improve transparency in AI-driven detections.

Theta Lake chief product officer Dan Nadir said, “Our latest innovations illustrate where our clients are going, increasingly looking to adopt new AI functionality in the workplace and in Theta Lake across meshed, multi-platform UCC environments, and in doing so, seeking superior DCGA capabilities to ensure regulatory alignment and better compliance and security outcomes. Our new capabilities enable them to modernize their communication choices and embrace the rapidly accelerating need for not just inspecting these new aiComms, but also for ensuring strong AI Governance.”

ZK Research principal analyst Zeus Kerravala said, “With over 150 new capabilities spanning AI governance, mobile messaging, social media, project management, and more, Theta Lake is setting the pace for what modern Digital Communications Governance should look like. Organizations today need DCGA solutions that not only keep up with the rapid evolution of communication tools, but also make compliance faster, more accurate, more scalable, and more cost-effective. Theta Lake continues to lead the way by delivering unified, innovative capabilities that address compliance challenges across every channel and modality.”
