InCountry, a provider of data protection solutions operating at the intersection of AI, identity, and sovereignty, has raised $10m in fresh funding.
The round was led by Arbor Ventures, with participation from Caffeinated Ventures and Accelerator Ventures. The capital injection coincides with the launch of AgentCloak, InCountry’s new AI agent data protection product.
The company specialises in technology that helps organisations ensure compliance with data residency and sovereignty rules while enabling AI-driven services to operate securely across borders. Its tools are trusted by Global 2000 companies in sectors such as life sciences, semiconductors and financial services.
InCountry said the new capital will be used to expand research and development, build strategic partnerships, and drive its international market presence.
AgentCloak, its newly launched product, uses AI to generalise sensitive information for privacy and compliance purposes. Beyond detecting obvious identifiers such as names, addresses and account numbers, it can transform medical or geographical references into broader categories, minimising data exposure while retaining useful context. It also deploys localised AI models trained on regional terminology to identify and cloak sensitive information, building on InCountry’s existing digital twin technology.
The product is designed to allow AI agents to function within strict data protection regimes including the EU AI Act, China’s PIPL, and Saudi Arabia’s PDPL. By using secure cloaked digital twins, AgentCloak enables compliant training and operation of AI systems across borders.
InCountry founder and CEO Peter Yared said, “As AI is posed to revolutionize industries, prioritizing data privacy, trust, and compliance is critical.
“We’ve been collaborating on AgentCloak for over a year with our customers and partners, and we’re excited to launch general availability and supporting businesses with compliant AI agent deployments within countries and across borders.”
Arbor Ventures general partner Melissa Guzy said, “We’re thrilled to back InCountry’s vision for global AI data protection. AgentCloak’s AI-powered data generalization and secure digital twin technology will help enterprises protect their customer data within countries and across borders.”
