Latvian investment newcomer Goodeve taps Flagright for AML

Goodeve, a new Latvian investment platform offering access to loan-backed financial instruments, has chosen Flagright to underpin its AML and fraud prevention work before it opens to its first clients.

The agreement means Goodeve will run its financial crime controls through a single Flagright system from day one, rather than retrofitting compliance after launch.

Its compliance team will use the platform to evaluate customer risk, track activity across accounts and work through alerts, while holding a documented record of client profiles and the flow of funds through the platform.

In practice, Flagright will give Goodeve real-time oversight of account deposits, financial instrument activity and withdrawals, backed by controls the team can configure. Individual and corporate clients, along with relevant counterparties, will be checked against sanctions, politically exposed persons and adverse media lists.

Dynamic risk scoring will update customer risk profiles as behaviour and exposure shift over time.

When alerts arise, investigators will handle them in a centralised case management environment, drawing on AI-generated case narratives and entity mapping to trace connected activity.

Goodeve will also be able to test rules against historical data before switching them on, and maintain consistent, auditable reviews through quality assurance tools and complete audit trails.

Goodeve is operated by SIA IBC INVEST, an investment brokerage licensed by Latvijas Banka, the Latvian central bank. The platform will begin with loan-backed instruments and intends to widen its product range over time. Latvia will be its launch market, with expansion into further European Union countries planned afterwards.

Flagright supplies AI-driven technology that brings transaction monitoring, screening and investigations together for financial crime compliance teams.

Goodeve CEO Ieva Narbute said, “We want Goodeve to make investing easier to understand and straightforward to use. That starts with doing the work behind the scenes properly. As we prepare to launch, we are building the controls to understand our clients, identify unusual activity, and make well-documented decisions. Flagright brings monitoring, screening, and investigations into one workspace, helping our team manage financial crime risk as the platform develops.”

Flagright co-founder and CEO Baran Özkan added, “Goodeve is putting financial crime controls in place as it prepares to launch. Flagright will support its team with configurable monitoring, ongoing risk assessment, and a single workspace for investigations. This gives the team tools to adapt its controls as customer activity and the product offering develop, while keeping a clear record of its decisions.”
