AiPrise lands MoneyGram in AI verification push

AiPrise, the provider of an AI-driven compliance and verification platform, has been chosen by MoneyGram, one of the largest cross-border payments networks in the world, to support its fraud prevention and compliance work worldwide.

Under the agreement, MoneyGram will bring a number of its verification workflows together on AiPrise’s single platform. The integration gives the payments group access to more than 100 data sources globally, sharpening how it checks and monitors information in the markets where it operates.

For MoneyGram’s teams, the change means a more uniform and efficient method for assessing data and recording the reasoning behind verification decisions in the regions included in the rollout.

The move forms part of a wider effort by MoneyGram to upgrade the systems that underpin its international network. The company is directing investment towards tools that help staff carry out verification with greater consistency and efficiency from one market to the next.

MoneyGram links customers in over 200 countries and territories, operating through close to 500,000 retail locations alongside a fast-growing range of digital channels.

AiPrise has designed its technology specifically to simplify complicated verification procedures through AI. Its platform supplies compliance teams with the data they need, along with a rationale prepared for audit, so they can reach decisions with confidence.

MoneyGram chief regulatory and public affairs officer Bahar Sahajwalla said, “Verification is essential to operating a trusted global payments network. AiPrise gives our teams a more simplified and comprehensive way to verify information while maintaining consistent standards across markets.”

MoneyGram chief product and technology officer Luke Tuttle said, “We’re transforming MoneyGram into a more modern, connected fintech platform to better serve our customers. Millions of customers have trusted MoneyGram to support their loved ones for generations, and maintaining that trust means continually strengthening the technology and infrastructure behind our global network.

“AiPrise will play an important role in that work, helping us modernize key processes and build a more efficient, scalable platform for the future.”

AiPrise CEO Chaitanya Sarda added, “MoneyGram moves money across more markets than almost any company in the world, which means their compliance has to work everywhere, all the time. That’s exactly what we built AiPrise for: helping companies streamline complex verification processes using a purpose-built, AI-driven platform, while giving compliance teams the information and audit-ready rationale they need to make confident decisions. We’re proud to work with a company that has been earning trust across borders for decades.”
