Dun & Bradstreet, a global provider of business data and risk intelligence, has announced a collaboration with Anthropic to embed D&B risk data directly into the Claude AI platform, aiming to accelerate compliance and onboarding processes for businesses.
The integration works by connecting the D&B Commercial Graph™ to Claude via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This allows clients to build tailored know-your-customer (KYC) and know-your-business (KYB) workflows within Claude in a matter of minutes, combining natural language instructions with verified business data grounded in the globally recognised D-U-N-S® Number identifier and risk decision logic developed through years of real-world application.
The collaboration is designed to replace manual steps, siloed tools, and case management systems with a single automated workflow. As one example, a financial institution could use the integration to onboard a new corporate client in seconds, automatically confirming the client’s identity, ownership structure, and risk profile, while simultaneously generating audit-ready documentation.
Through the MCP-based connection, users are able to securely access the D&B Commercial Graph to verify business identities across complex ownership structures, assess exposure across global third-party and supplier networks, automate onboarding agents that incorporate real-time risk intelligence, and generate risk decision documentation automatically.
Dun & Bradstreet is a data and analytics company that provides business intelligence to organisations worldwide, with a particular focus on risk management, compliance, and commercial decision-making.
The company positions the integration as indicative of a broader shift in enterprise knowledge work — one in which AI systems go beyond summarising information to operating with verified data, risk logic, and governance frameworks suited to regulated industries.
Dun & Bradstreet general manager of risk Alex Zuck said, “What makes this integration powerful is that Claude isn’t just being given more data; it’s being given the verified context and decision logic required to act. That means outputs that are not only personalized to the user and situation, but also explainable, auditable, and consistent, all essential components for organizations to act with confidence in high‑stakes, regulated environments.”
Zuck added, “Agents in onboarding workflows must understand who they’re dealing with. D&B gives Claude a persistent, verified view of business identity through the D‑U‑N‑S Number, as well as the context required to reason about ownership, control, and risk. By bringing this business‑verification layer into Claude, we’re helping organizations move faster on onboarding without compromising safety, accountability, or trust.”
