A new field-level audit trail feature has been introduced by KYC Portal CLM, aimed at giving compliance professionals unprecedented control over data changes. This enhancement allows users to view the full edit history of any field within a Company or Onboarding Form instantly—without having to sift through the entire entity’s audit log.
This feature captures every field update—whether made by an end customer, a third-party data provider, or an internal compliance team member. Each entry is timestamped and includes the source of the change, offering real-time traceability at the click of a button. The addition of an eye icon next to each field enables users to access a chronological audit log displaying previous and updated values, exact timestamps, and origin of changes.
The feature’s granularity is designed to support compliance teams in maintaining accurate, transparent records. By removing uncertainty around data amendments, teams can easily identify what changed, when, and who initiated the update—a vital function for passing internal audits and external regulatory reviews.
Regulatory scrutiny continues to increase, particularly around data management in line with frameworks like GDPR, FATF guidelines, and AML regulations. This new audit trail provides firms with built-in compliance support, enabling them to meet audit and reporting obligations more confidently and efficiently.
Error reduction is another major benefit. By giving teams the ability to instantly investigate and trace discrepancies, the feature helps pinpoint data issues, correct them swiftly, and reduce operational risk.
Operational efficiency is also significantly improved. Instead of chasing down information across departments, users can now instantly retrieve field-specific change logs, simplifying client onboarding reviews and investigative workflows.
