KYCP tackles data retention complexity with new module

KYCP has launched a dedicated Data Retention Module, marking a significant upgrade in how compliance teams can manage their GDPR obligations.

Previously, meeting data retention requirements within KYCP involved running complex scripts and reports, a workflow that demanded considerable time and technical resource to configure and maintain.

The new module consolidates that process into a centralised policy management tool, enabling users to define, monitor and act on retention policies without writing a single line of code.

Alerts are triggered in real time as records hit their configured retention thresholds, and these can be managed from a dedicated panel.

The home screen surfaces the five most recent alerts at a glance, with the option to open the full list in a separate window.

The module, accessible under the Programmes section of KYCP, supports policy creation across both live and deleted data.

For live applications, those actively moving through KYCP’s workflow, users can build policies around a range of triggers including application creation date, current status, or any date-type field attached to an entity. Once those conditions are set, a retention period is defined in days, months or years, after which an alert is automatically generated.

For deleted data, the module offers a parallel capability. Applications and entities sitting in the newly launched Deleted Records module can also be subject to policy monitoring, ensuring that even records removed from active workflows do not linger indefinitely without oversight.
