Confluence bets on AI to slash manual review work

Confluence Technologies has launched Confluence POINT, a new layer of AI-enabled automation built to optimise workflows across its entire product suite.

The launch is designed to extend the reach of Confluence’s existing regulatory, analytics and investor solutions by running AI automation within and alongside them, cutting down on the manual work that has traditionally been needed before or after automated processes take place.

One of the first capabilities to go live under the new offering is POINT Validation, which transforms and checks documents across multiple formats, including unstructured data. The validation process is completed within minutes and works through an automated checklist that operates independently, with every result supported by an audit trail and any errors flagged for review. The tool is aimed at removing the manual checking that has historically followed automated financial and regulatory report production.

POINT has also been built into Revolution, Confluence’s multi-asset performance, attribution and risk solution. Here, it introduces an AI-enabled conversational interface that allows users to ask questions and trigger processes using plain English commands. The same conversational functionality is being made available inside Excel, giving users direct access to Revolution’s capabilities from within their spreadsheets without needing to export data or move between separate systems.

Confluence has indicated that POINT’s capabilities are set to expand quickly, with further AI-enabled optimisation planned across its wider range of solutions in the future.

Confluence describes itself as delivering specialist regulatory, analytics and investor solutions that stand apart in their field, positioning POINT as a way to build additional AI-driven value into tools that clients already rely on daily.

Confluence Technologies CEO Mark Evans said, “AI is reshaping how work is done across financial services, and we are delivering that value directly into the solutions our clients already use and trust. Confluence POINT will expand the scope of our technology, optimize workflows, and reduce manual effort – ultimately driving efficiency through deliberate use of embedded AI. This is a long-term commitment, and you will see our AI capability continue to grow across our entire product suite in the months ahead.”
