CUBE opens City of London HQ and AI lab to power next-gen RegTech innovation

CUBE, a prominent player in the RegTech space, has unveiled its new global headquarters at Tower 42 in the City of London.

This move marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues its mission to revolutionise regulatory intelligence and change management with AI-powered solutions.

The new HQ features the RegBrain AI Lab, CUBE’s Centre of Excellence focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance compliance and risk management in financial services and other regulated industries. The company has announced plans to create 200 new roles in the next year, with half expected to be based in the UK.

This expansion follows a year of rapid growth for CUBE, underpinned by a strategic partnership with Hg, a major investor in software and services companies across Europe and North America. Over the past 12 months, CUBE has more than doubled its revenue, grown its team to 700 employees across 20 countries, and now supports over 1,000 clients globally. It also executed two key acquisitions in the US, further strengthening its regulatory intelligence capabilities.

CUBE founder and CEO Ben Richmond hosted the Lord Mayor of London at the opening of the new headquarters. Richmond said, “We chose an iconic City of London location for our new global headquarters as we believe it’s the perfect place to continue CUBE’s growth. London is unquestionably a world-class tech hub and a global leader for AI and innovation. We’re proud to further build out our global operations and investment from the UK and aim to be a benchmark for building successful global tech businesses here. Our performance in the last year highlights the progress we have made so far.”

Founded in 2011, CUBE has established itself as a global regulatory intelligence provider, helping some of the world’s largest financial institutions streamline regulatory change management. The company recently launched RegPlatform™ Intel, a solution tailored to help mid-market financial firms remain compliant with the dynamic global regulatory environment.

Commenting on the role of the new headquarters in driving innovation, Richmond added, “We’ve experienced considerable growth over the past year and we wanted a global HQ that reflects the ambition and scale of our expanding team. We want to reimagine the future of work and how we collaborate with customers, which is why we created a space that fosters partnership and drives continuous technological innovation. Our new AI Centre of Excellence – RegBrain AI Lab – will be at the forefront of AI innovation. We will continue to deliver smart, agile solutions for our customers in response to the rapid pace of global regulatory change.”

The new headquarters will also offer open access to CUBE’s strategic customers and partners. Facilities such as the RegTheatre and RegCinema are designed to foster industry collaboration and engagement around the future of compliance and the application of AI in regulatory processes.
