Seismic and Theta Lake target AI execution gap in finance

Seismic, the go-to-market performance company, has used its Seismic Shift 2026 event to widen its financial services offering. It launched Seismic Compliance, added new features to Seismic Social and struck a partnership with Theta Lake, as regulated firms try to grow digital client engagement without losing oversight.

The centrepiece is Seismic Compliance, which places governance controls inside the workflows that client-facing teams already use. Firms can capture and archive activity across Digital Sales Rooms, Bulk Email and Workspace, and Digital Sales Rooms gain extra access controls and approval steps.

Personalised content and communications can also pass through approval workflows before reaching clients. The product links with the archiving and supervisory systems firms already run, and Theta Lake extends retention, post-send supervision and data protection.

Theta Lake is a Gartner Critical Capabilities leader for Digital Communications Governance, has won best UC compliance product in several years, and is listed among the Fortune Cyber 60. Through the tie-up, Seismic aims to help institutions get more value from their current compliance spending and keep a fuller record of how they interact with clients.

Seismic Social, previously called Seismic LiveSocial, now sits directly within the Seismic platform. It brings together AI-supported content drafting, publishing, compliance and performance measurement, so financial professionals can raise their profile and stay in touch with clients between meetings while firms keep supervisory control.

New features include unified social publishing, administration and reporting on adoption, engagement and compliance; review workflows combined with role-based permissions and audit trails; LinkedIn publishing, delegated sharing and curated content streams; access to third-party material through UpContent; and post drafting via Seismic Aura AI within limits each firm sets.

Seismic’s financial services portfolio combines AI, data, approved content, engagement signals and governance.

The goal is to help advisers, wholesalers, bankers, relationship managers and agents decide whom to contact, why the timing matters and what action to take. The company presents Seismic Compliance and Seismic Social as steps towards an AI-driven revenue execution platform designed for the regulatory demands of the sector.

The launches come as the industry struggles to turn AI uptake into results. The University of Cambridge’s 2026 Global AI in Financial Services Report found that 81% of surveyed financial services firms use AI in some form, but only 14% believe their deployments have transformed their strategy and competitive position.

Seismic CEO Rob Tarkoff said, “Financial services customers are core to Seismic, and we’re deepening our investment in an industry where trust is everything. Financial institutions shouldn’t have to choose between growth and control. These new capabilities bring intelligence, engagement and governance together, giving client-facing professionals the trusted context and guidance to act in the moments that matter. That’s how control accelerates growth instead of standing in its way.”

Theta Lake CEO and co-founder Devin Redmond added, “Compliance and governance have to keep pace with the increasing speed of the digital workplace. By bringing Theta Lake’s validated market-leading digital communications and AI interaction governance capabilities directly into Seismic, firms can expand client engagement while keeping those interactions secure, compliant and governed within the Seismic platform.”
